Living Our Oneness
May the sparks you find here inspire you to be more curious and even seek to understand your Self and your Others. May your desire to learn about our interconnectedness expand. May your yearnings to experience harmony and oneness be enhanced.
The late John Lennon wrote a song asking us to imagine a different world. One where people lived in peace. He hoped he was not the only dreamer and that we would live in this world of Oneness with him. By visiting this space, you have joined not only me in imagining what living in Oneness looks like, but you’ll join a community of dreamers, educators, scientists, musicians, artists, poets, spiritual leaders, politicians, sages, philosophers etc., who encourage us or even show us how to walk this path.
So many of us learned that success in life is a result of being competitive and ruthless. A belief born in a “survival of the fittest” idea that, no doubt, supported the burgeoning Industrial Age. (The term is incorrectly attributed to Charles Darwin, the famed nineteenth century British naturalist, but was actually coined by his contemporary, Herbert Spencer, after reading Darwin’s On the Origin of Species)

My strength is not the strength of one; it is the strength of many. ~ Maori Proverb
Those who know more than I do about Darwin and his work tell us Darwin’s observations and studies led him to believe that cooperation and sympathy (compassion) are key factors to humanity’s success. (NBCnews.com Survival of the Fittest March 8, 2017)
In this still youthful twenty-first century, let us unshackle ourselves from the untenable, stressful, me-first, competitive living conditions and align our lives to what is humane and life-affirming: Cooperation, compassion and, community.
Join me on this journey as I explore the deep well of All-Things-Oneness. I seek to discover where and by whom the evidence of our interconnectedness has been investigated, explained, shown, or taught, using belief systems, practices, art, scientific findings, movies, music etc., and then I’ll share it with you.
Please scroll through, and I hope you will find a nugget or two to nurture your awareness and that you will share what you found. I look forward to being with you in Living Our Oneness.
Thank you for visiting.
